In Madrid you can find flamenco shows in theatres, Flamenco clubs, concerts halls… We recommend you to enjoy a flamenco show in a Tablao. It is in these little little nooks where you will find the true art of flamenco. For the atmosphere, the purity, and above all because the greats of flamenco have always chosen it to expose their art. A tablao is the place where you can see a genuine flamenco show.
The best Tablaos
This tablao flamenco is unique for the artist. Authentic experts of the dance, flamenco singing and guitars player able to generate a brutal and savage energy that connects with the public and is different in each of the passes.
Cardamomo Tablao Flamenco is characterized by its ability to progress simultaneously with the art of flamenco, preserving the pureness that makes this discipline so unique. Located in Calle Echegaray number 15, just five minutes walking from Puerta del Sol, we find this Tablao through which the greatest flamenco artists have performed, and continue to do so.
Originally it was a meeting point where authentic flamenco masters such as Enrique Morente, Diego el Cigala or Tomatito met every day. These encounters, which always ended in alegrías or rumbas, cried out for a stage. Twenty-five years later, we found one of the best flamenco tablaos in the world in the same place. That preserves that familiar and close atmosphere.
Cardamomo offers four daily shows in which singing, guitar playing and dancing are experienced in live, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who visits it. There are no two identical shows in Cardamomo, this is because the artists who compose the flamenco scene are steeped in the atmosphere and energy that are generated in the present moment, these impulses added to the professionalism and continuing training of Cardamomo artists, result in a unique show able to thrill people throughout the world.
In this tablao the children’s audience has always been taken into account. Arguing that Flamenco is culture and tradition, and for its preservation is essential to show it to new generations. For that reason they have reduced prices and adapted schedules for children. Especially noteworthy in this regard is the 18:00 show that takes place every afternoon.
In fact, the Director of Cardamomo, Ivana Portolés, is the creator of the documentary “El flamenco también es cosa de niños”.
A unique audiovisual document, in which great flamenco masters such as Raimundo Amador, Camarón de Pitita or Juan Carmona have participated, and of course the children, whom adopted them in the artistic sense.
The aim of this initiative is that the discipline of flamenco, already catalogued as Intangible Heritage of Humanity, be transmitted to the future generations, and be preserved no matter the course of time.
The art of the girls and boys who appear in this documentary shows howthe mixture between the natural expression of flamenco and the dedication to learning this discipline results into great promises of playing, dancing and flamenco singing.

In addition, you will be able to receive your first flamenco dance class right there, given by the dancers who will make you fall in love on the stage.
In their daily shows, you won’t find anything that entered the world of flamenco in the 20th century. A show that recreates the purist and classic.
There is no place for instruments such as the flute or violin, where palmas, taconeo and voices without a microphone take centre stage.
For the environment, purity, and especially because the great flamenco has always chosen to expose their art.
