Passages 21:00h | 22:30h
On December 5 Farruquito will pay tribute to Camarón de la Isla at the Tablao Flamenco 1911 in Madrid.
Juan Manuel Fernández Montoya, better known as Farruquito, presents a special show in the oldest flamenco tablao in the world, located in Plaza de Santa Ana, 15. An exclusive opportunity to enjoy the legend of flamenco singing through the best flamenco dancer of today.
Farruquito is heir and transmitter of the school of his grandfather “Farruco“, a style of dance that has transcended to become the major reference for young and experienced artists. On this occasion, he returns to Madrid to offer a magical night that will remain in the memory. It is a unique date on which the king of flamenco singing, Camarón de la Isla, will turn 73 years old. An occasion to experience the art of Farruquito in the intimacy of a tablao. A space with reduced capacity, whose decoration reminds us of the “golden age” of flamenco.
In the show we will have the opportunity to relive charming moments such as the recording of the video clip Camarón nuestro, when “El Capitán” was only ten years old. We will have an expanded cast; two guitarists, percussion and three singers on stage that will be recalling the lyrics of the genius of the Island. Also, during the show there will be a succession of exciting special numbers that will remind us of the hits of the cantaor from San Fernando. These and many other surprises await us on December 5 at the Tablao Flamenco 1911.
The artistic team that will accompany Farruquito in this show is formed by the dancer Nazaret Reyes, two guitarists, percussion and three singers who will be remembering Camarón throughout the show.
Farruquito dances to Camarón on the night of his birth for the first time at the Tablao Flamenco 1911. A show in which you will be infected by the feelings and emotions that Juan Fernandez, Farruquito will evoke remembering the great king of flamenco singing.
